Snap frozen mouse paw, spleen, and serum from DBA/1 mice at well-defined stages and severity of CIA. Choose paws from our inventory based on CIA score history, disease stage, gender, or antigen used for CIA induction. Shipped frozen on dry ice.

Save time establishing & running CIA models; most tissue products are available from stock with no lead time.

Full CIA score history provided for each sample.

Control tissues are matched for immunization method and timing.

Availability (IMPORTANT)

Most tissue products are available from stock with no lead time, but contact us at for a complete listing of our current inventory in a spreadsheet, including CIA score history for each mouse.

You can choose individual left or right hind paws from our stock based on CIA severity, disease stage, gender, or antigen used for CIA induction (chicken type II collagen or bovine type II collagen).

Preparation

Male or female DBA/1 mice 8 to 12 weeks of age are acclimated to our facility for at least 7 days.

CIA is induced according to the protocol CIA Induction in DBA/1 Mice.

Each paw is scored daily for CIA severity on the scale of 0-4 (see protocol) until disease onset, and then every other day. Total score for each mouse is calculated as the sum of scores for all 4 paws (0-16).

Mice are euthanized at the appropriate stage of disease. Immediately, blood is collected for serum, hind paws and spleen are collected and snap frozen in liquid nitrogen. Serum is isolated and frozen at -80 °C.

Tissues are stored at -80 °C until shipment.
